Job summary

City of Chattanooga invites students and recent graduates to apply for the Spring 2027 Mayor’s Civic Leadership Internship Program. Interns will be placed across various city departments to gain hands-on experience while participating in professional development aligned with Mayor Kelly's One Chattanooga Plan.

Internships require 15–18 hours per week from February through April, with schedules arranged around academic commitments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of public and civic organizations is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Must be enrolled in college or be a recent graduate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reports and office projects.
• Collect and summarize research information.
• Engage with public and private sector representatives.
• Attend meetings and participate in program work groups as assigned.
• Support leadership development activities from the Mayor and staff.
