The City of Compton seeks an Administrative Director to plan, organize and supervise the city-wide purchasing and stock control program and to perform related duties as required.

The role includes directing the Purchasing Division, maintaining perpetual inventory, negotiating with vendors, approving bids and overseeing surplus disposal, with strong emphasis on compliance and efficiency.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or higher with coursework in management, accounting or public admin.
• Minimum four years of purchasing/stock management experience, with at least two in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of government purchasing principles, bidding processes and warehouse/inventory controls.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, organize and supervise a city-wide purchasing and stock control program.
• Direct Purchasing Division operations, negotiate with vendors and supervise bid processes.
• Maintain perpetual inventory, dispose of surplus assets and ensure compliance with policies.
