Job summary

City of New York seeks a Deputy Chief of Citywide Facility Operations to oversee Parks’ facility operations and drive operational excellence. You will manage a cross-functional team of engineers, planners, and administrative staff, administer the operating budget, and advance long-term goals to improve service delivery across agency facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and four years of experience in community liaison, community organization or community relations, with leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the management, operations and coordination of the Facility Operations section within Citywide Technical Services.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners and administrative staff for Parks MEP assets.
• Administer the operating budget and purchasing actions for Facility Operations.
• Formulate and execute long-term goals to ensure effective service delivery.
• Develop policies, SOPs and performance metrics to improve service delivery.
• Collaborate to identify funding needs and prepare justification for Parks leadership and Budget Office.
• Supervise coordination with agency partners to align expectations and outcomes.
• Standardize preventative maintenance procedures and analyze results for asset management.
• Coordinate with Citywide Operations to prioritize Citywide Facility Operations projects.
