The City of New York's Department of Design and Construction, Division of Public Buildings, seeks a Project Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate construction projects across the five boroughs from scoping through procurement. The role requires ensuring programs meet commitments, staying within budget, and coordinating with contractors, DDC, and sponsor agencies.

Eligibility includes permanent status under the Project Manager title or eligibility on the Open Competitive List (Exam #4076).

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, construction management, urban planning, or related field and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in project management on engineering/architectural projects.
• A four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of project management experience as described above.
• A four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent plus any combination of the experience and/or college education to make up the equivalent of five years of education and experience; credit given for each 30 college credits leading to a degree.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, direct, and coordinate construction projects across the five boroughs.
• Serve as the key contact throughout scoping, design, and construction procurement phases.
• Keep costs within budget and liaise between contractors, DDC, and sponsor agencies; prepare reports and change orders.
