Job summary

The City of Concord seeks a City Prosecutor to supervise the City Prosecutor's Office, including four Assistant City Prosecutors and support staff, and to prosecute and supervise criminal cases for Concord Police in the 6th Circuit Court.

The successful candidate coordinates with the Merrimack County Attorney's Office, ensures compliance with discovery and NH Victim's Bill of Rights, stays current on changes in the law, and provides legal advice to police.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate; and
• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience as an attorney.
• Member of the New Hampshire Bar Association.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the City Prosecutor's Office and staff.
• Prosecute and supervise criminal cases for Concord Police in the 6th Circuit Court.
• Coordinate with the Merrimack County Attorney's Office and NH Attorney General's Office as needed.
• Ensure compliance with discovery obligations and victims' rights requirements.
• Provide legal advice to police on criminal law and procedures.
• Draft and review charging documents, motions, and briefs.
• Manage office operations, training, and performance evaluations.
