Job summary

Town of Pecos City seeks a reliable janitor to maintain cleanliness of City Hall and associated spaces, including offices, conference rooms, restrooms, kitchen and break rooms.

Duties include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning surfaces, restrooms, restocking supplies, collecting trash, moving lightweight boxes, and assisting with daily operations under supervision of Community Services Director.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2 years in general housekeeping.
• Pass physical and drug test.
• Reading: English; Writing: English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, vacuums, mops, steam clean carpet.
• Dusts surfaces, washes glass, cleans and polishes furniture and woodwork.
• Cleans, disinfects and replenishes restrooms and fixtures.
• Collects trash and disposes in outdoor receptacles.
• Sweep sidewalks and maintain outdoor area.
• Maintain and clean janitorial equipment and inventory.
