Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with some automotive repair experience.
• Experience repairing automotive, light and heavy power-driven equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic instruments and a variety of hand, electric, and air-driven tools.
• Test, service, and repair City vehicles and mechanical equipment.
• Inspect, adjust and replace components for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Repair brakes, engines, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, transmission, ignition, HVAC, and suspension systems.
• Change and repair tires and tubes.
• Contribute to a positive work environment.
• Evaluate equipment status and schedule repairs as needed.
