City of Winchester is hiring an Automotive Mechanic to join our Garage team and keep City vehicles in top condition. You will work with a range of diagnostic instruments and both hand and power tools to perform maintenance and repairs.

The role includes testing, servicing, and repairing vehicles and mechanical equipment, inspecting and replacing components as needed, and addressing brakes, engines, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, transmission, and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or GED is required with some experience in repairing automotive, light and heavy power-driven equipment.

Education and/or Experience:

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required with some experience in repairing automotive, light and heavy power-driven equipment.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

Possession of a valid and appropriate driver's license. Preferred possession of a CDL Class B with School Bus endorsement.
