Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a City Delivery Coordinator to manage order pulling, scheduling, and delivery routing. You will coordinate with stores, ensure on-time deliveries, and help maintain organized city delivery operations at the Madison hub.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work with diverse language speakers. A background in automotive parts or manual transmission driving is a plus; company benefits include health coverage and retirement

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Familiar with automotive parts.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Serve as contact person for city delivery service.
• Receive orders from stores via phone or invoice, ensure parts are pulled and ready for delivery by scheduled time.
• Ensure accuracy of each order pulled prior to city delivery specialist picking up order for delivery.
• Maintain organized, clean city delivery area divided into areas/bins for each spoke store.
• Ensure hub delivery specialists are running on schedule and/or communicate any delays to stores remaining on route.
• Continually monitor hub system and routes for ways to increase efficiency, productivity, and/or reduce expenses.
• Communicate recommendations to store manager.
• Make sure all team members assigned to hub are clocking in and out according to company policy.
• Research any parts not delivered as scheduled and make any necessary billing adjustments.
• Work with store manager to ensure route is covered in the absence of regular city delivery specialist.
• Work with store manager and delivery specialist to ensure vehicles are well maintained and inspections are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Ensure daily mileage is logged into asset management for all vehicles.
• Provide input to store manager with regard to delivery specialists’ performance in preparation for performance evaluations.
