Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable virtual desktop infrastructures supporting geospatial applications across geographies.
• Administer VMware Horizon to provide stable sessions, optimize resources and minimize downtime for mapping workloads.
• Configure and manage Citrix Cloud deployments to ensure responsive access to map processing apps while meeting security standards.
• Develop robust PowerShell automation to streamline VDI provisioning, profiling, checks and routine maintenance tasks.
• Monitor end-to-end VDI performance, identify degradation early and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with infra, network and app teams to troubleshoot incidents and drive root-cause analysis.
• Implement access control, patching and hardening for VDI components handling geospatial data.
• Document architectures, SOPs and runbooks for consistent operations across teams.
• Collaborate with product owners to translate spatial data initiatives into VDI capacity plans.
• Perform impact assessments and regression validation for platform upgrades to minimize downtime.
• Provide day shift operational support and communicate timelines to stakeholders.
• Analyze incident trends and drive improvements to reduce future disruptions.
• Mentor junior staff through knowledge sharing on PowerShell and VDI best practices.
