Job summary

Obsidian Security is seeking a strategic CISO to own the internal security program end-to-end, while acting as a visible security leader for customers and partners. You will report to the Chief Legal and Trust Officer and guide executive decision-making on cyber risk across the organization.

You will build and lead security teams spanning product, infrastructure, and compliance, drive secure-by-design practices, and partner with Legal, Sales, and Marketing to protect and promote trust in

Qualifications

• 15+ years in information security with 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
• Experience securing cloud-native SaaS environments and container workloads.
• Experience presenting to boards and guiding executive leadership on cyber risk.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional security teams and manage budgets.
• Experience with AI governance and security in AI/ML contexts.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute a global security strategy aligned with business growth.
• Own cyber risk management including third-party vendor reviews and risk mitigations.
• Lead product security, security engineering, and enterprise risk management teams.
• Embed secure-by-design principles across SDLC and AI components.
• Represent Obsidian externally and build market trust in security posture.
