Job summary

Pluralsight is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer to own an enterprise-wide security strategy covering corporate and product environments. You will build a security program grounded in clarity, accountability, and operational rigor, with autonomy to effect measurable impact on a mission to close the tech skills gap.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience within information security, including 8+ years of people leadership
• Experience leading a company-wide information security program
• Expert-level knowledge of information security architecture, information security technologies, systems design, integration of systems, and networking
• Deep understanding of information security regulations, including FISMA, FedRAMP, FIPS, NIST, DFARS, HIPAA, PII, PHI, and EO
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with IT professionals as well as senior management, auditors, inspectors
• Travel: up to 40% depending on business needs; this is a remote role with on-site expectations near Westlake, TX

Responsibilities

• Set and maintain the vision, strategy, architecture, and program that protect information assets across corporate and product
• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, policies, and client requirements for securing information
• Stay on top of changing security regulations and turn learnings into clear policies and security plans
• Monitor adherence to security regulations and drive continuous improvement
• Lead regular independent third-party audits and develop disaster recovery program
• Deliver security reports and assessments required by regulators and clients
