Job summary

Glean is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer to lead company-wide and product security. Reporting to the CTO, you will define strategy across security domains, risk and compliance, and incident response, coordinating with engineering, legal, and product leadership to reduce risk.

This executive role requires deep architectural judgment, podcasting a durable security program, and communicating risk and trade-offs clearly across the organization.

Qualifications

• Senior security leadership experience at a high-growth tech company.
• Strong depth in product/app security, cloud security, identity management, and vulnerability management.
• Proven ability to lead security programs through high-severity incidents and drive durable improvements.
• Experience with governance, compliance, audit readiness, and risk-based decisions.

Responsibilities

• Set risk-based security strategy, priorities, policies, and metrics for scale.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to bake security into architecture and development.
• Oversee vulnerability management, secure development, and supply-chain security programs.
• Lead corporate security, IT security, cloud infra, and privileged access controls.
• Ensure incident detection, containment, recovery, and lessons learned; coordinate with leaders.
