Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Chief Information Security Officer to build and lead a modern, engineering-driven security organization. You will own the security posture end-to-end, partnering with the CIO and CSO to protect assets across classified and unclassified environments while enabling rapid product delivery.

The role requires 15+ years of leadership in security, strong governance, and experience with government frameworks.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership in information security or related technical disciplines.
• Proven experience as a CISO or in a senior cyber leadership role at technology or defense companies, or equivalent military/intelligence leadership.
• Deep expertise across network security, application security, security operations, IAM, and cloud security.
• Demonstrated success building, leading, and mentoring cross-functional security and IT teams.
• Strong understanding of government cyber frameworks and compliance (NIST 800-171, CMMC, FedRAMP, FISMA, DFARS).
• Active U.S. Top Secret SCI clearance or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive information security strategy protecting assets against cyber threats.
• Lead a unified information security organization spanning multiple domains into a cohesive function.
• Partner with CIO and CSO to scale core engineering and security capabilities across the enterprise.
• Drive threat detection and incident response at speed with strong operational resilience.
• Own cyber risk management with actionable intelligence for executive leadership.
• Ensure global cyber compliance with applicable frameworks and DoD/government requirements.
• Embed security into the software development lifecycle and infrastructure as code, fostering an engineering-first security culture.
• Secure the enterprise IT and endpoint environments across a global footprint.
