TEKsystems is seeking a Network Engineer to join the Facilities-focused network engineering team in a hybrid role based near Grand Rapids, MI. The position involves travel to multiple facilities (approx.

2 trips per month, each 2–4 days) with remote work between trips. The ideal candidate has strong Cisco routing/switching experience (Catalyst), and is comfortable supporting Cisco ISE, SD-WAN, and Palo Alto firewalls, though core configurations may be handled by other teams.

NOTE

• This role involves TRAVEL - average of 2 trips a month lasting 2-4 days to different facilities.
• This person can work remotely between these trips, and preferene is for someone based in Michigan who could do some in person collaboration with the team at the headquarters in Grand Rapids.

Description

• Our client is looking for a Network Engineer to join their Facilities focused network engineering team.
• The right candidate will have strong experience with core routing & switching with Cisco Catalyst, and should also be comfortable supporting Cisco ISE, SD-WAN, and Palo Alto firewalls (for each of these technologies, another team owns the core configuration, but this team will interact with each of them).
• This role also requires the creation of standard operations procedures and strong documentation skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• With this person being focused on the networking in the distribution centers rather than the core data center, prior experience with this type of distributed network would be beneficial.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
