Job summary

Global C2 Integration Technologies seeks a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and sustain secure network infrastructure for mission-critical systems in Las Vegas. You will lead IPTs, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• SDN and centralized control/templating and image management.
• Knowledge of STIGs and configuration management practices.
• Experience with network encryptors including HAIPE/Type 1 devices.
• CCNA certification required; CCNP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of secure mission network infrastructure.
• Coordinate upgrades, maintenance, and configuration management.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, baselines, and procedures.
• Configure Cisco Catalyst switches (L2/L3); implement VLANs, STP, LACP, routing, ACLs.
• Manage Palo Alto or Fortinet firewalls; apply secure segmentation and policy controls.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot faults, and maintain dashboards and alerts.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and participate in IPT activities.
• Support assessments, audits, and compliance reviews in line with RMF/NIST.

Position Summary

Global C2 Integration Technologies is looking for talented and enthusiastic Senior Network Engineer who designs, implements, and sustains secure network infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems. This role leads network engineering efforts across routing, switching, firewall management, and monitoring to ensure reliable and secure communications in operational environments. It provides leadership in focused technical areas and team activities, leading implementation, analysis, and documentation efforts. The position leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), ensures timely task execution, and mentors junior engineers while supporting cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of secure mission network infrastructure
• Ensure reliable connectivity across computers, storage, and application systems
• Lead network upgrades, maintenance, and configuration management activities
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, baselines, and procedures
• Configure and administer Cisco Catalyst switches (Layer 2/3)
• Implement VLANs, trunking, STP, LACP, routing protocols, and ACLs
• Troubleshoot and resolve switching and performance issues
• Maintain configuration baselines and backups
• Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls and secure network segmentation
• Implement firewall policies, NAT, application filtering, and threat prevention
• Monitor firewall activity and coordinate with cybersecurity teams
• Design and support architectures; monitor network performance, availability, and security
• Analyze traffic, bandwidth utilization, and system performance
• Maintain dashboards, alerts, and reporting
• Diagnose and resolve network faults, incidents, and outages
• Implement network security controls aligned with NIST and RMF requirements
• Support vulnerability remediation, patching, and system hardening
• Participate in security assessments, audits, and compliance reviews
• Maintain secure segmentation and access controls
• Support incident response, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Manage configuration and change control processes for network devices
• Implement approved changes and maintain configuration records and inventories
• Lead IPT activities, technical reviews, and engineering discussions
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and staff
• Support integration with systems, cybersecurity, and test teams

Minimum Required Qualifications/Experience

• SDN (not SD-WAN), Catalyst Center or equivalent: centralized control, templates, image management
• Network STIGs and configuration management
• Network encryptors (HAIPE/Type 1): red/black separation, MTU overhead, KG-250X
• Certifications: CCNA

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

• Routing and switching: OSPF, BGP, VRFs, QoS
• GRE overlays carrying an IGP and PIM over encrypted transport; MTU and MSS handling
• Multicast: PIM-SM, IGMP, RP placement; shared multicast domain with a legacy network
• Segmentation: VRF/VLAN separation, split classified/unclassified management planes, out-of-band access
• BGP EVPN-VXLAN
• Fiber transport connectivity experience, including customer-maintained WANs, communications-panel demarcation, and port-level optics
• Palo Alto or Fortinet configuration experience
• Panorama or FortiManager
• Certifications: CCNP preferred
