TEKsystems is seeking two experienced Network Engineers to support and enhance an enterprise Cisco-based LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi environment in Kalamazoo, MI. You will balance day-to-day operations with future-state network design, reporting to the Network Manager.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance, troubleshooting complex issues, and deploying robust wired/wireless solutions while collaborating with IT for security and standardization.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT/Networking or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Cisco network engineering or administration.
• Proven track record supporting enterprise-level network environments.

Description

We are seeking 2 highly skilled Network Engineers to support and enhance the enterprise network environment. Reporting to the Network Manager, this professional will ensure maximum uptime, perform complex troubleshooting, and manage our Cisco-based LAN/WAN/wireless (RF) infrastructure. This position balances critical day-to-day operations with future-state network design, requiring a candidate who is both tactically proficient and strategically forward-thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Operations & Support:
  • Monitor and maintain network performance and availability across the enterprise Cisco environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex connectivity, hardware, and software issues involving Cisco switches, routers, and wireless access points.
  • Utilize advanced monitoring tools to proactively identify and mitigate network bottlenecks.
  • Provide comprehensive Level IIII support, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Infrastructure & Engineering:
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain robust Cisco wired and wireless network solutions.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of infrastructure upgrades to support organizational growth.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to standardize network configurations and enhance system security protocols.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $110.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
