Job summary

Beebe Healthcare seeks a network infrastructure professional to design, implement, and support our hospital and physician practice networks. Under the supervision of the Network Infrastructure Lead, you will manage active directory, Exchange, virtualization, and related enterprise systems across departments.

You will assess needs, install gear, test components, and maintain secure, scalable network services while coordinating with multiple teams to meet uptime goals.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in network infrastructure support; substitution for degree acceptable.
• Extensive Cisco infrastructure experience including routing, switching, wireless, and security.
• Experience with virtualization, AD/Exchange, backup, and enterprise networking best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess infrastructure needs and recommend hardware/software solutions to the Network Infrastructure Lead.
• Install and configure network equipment, perform testing and burn-in, ensure high uptime.
• Provide on-call and hands-on support; document changes and maintain interfaces with departments.

Overview

Under the general supervision of the Network Infrastructure Lead, provide infrastructure and telecommunication support services to all departments and hospital owned Physician Practices. Duties to include design, implementation and support of network and telecommunications infrastructure equipment including but not limited to active directory, exchange, virtualization and other enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

Assess network infrastructure needs and make recommendations to Network Infrastructure Lead on recommended hardware platforms and software applications to meet required needs. Perform setup and installation of network equipment to include proper testing and burn-in of system components. Support users by maintaining a working knowledge of various Medical Center networks. Maintain knowledge of computer technology and network technology. Reviews new computer enhancements. Recommends and installs upgrades as approved by the Network Infrastructure Lead. Plan and implement new network systems, while maintaining proper controls and ensuring maximum user uptime. Add, delete, or change user accounts on hospital systems, maintaining proper documentation and controls. Monitor and control tape backup systems, ensuring error free backups of user data, system data, and patient data. Works with customers in order to effectively design and implement solutions. Responsible for acting as an inter-departmental liaison to solve all interface and integration related issues. This includes working with personnel from various departments to provide guidance on interface related departmental documentation and to help set proper expectations on what can and cannot be accomplished through the interfaces. Provide On-Call and Hands-On support of all users of network computer equipment and telecommunication equipment. Ensures resolution of Helpdesk issues generated while on-call. Have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Works with other team members to effectively implement and maintain computer environments and interfaces as well as recommending improved processes and procedures. Install and direct vendors or personnel to install various network topology cabling throughout the medical Center and BMC owned Physician Practices for telephone and/or data transport. Assist network infrastructure lead in the assessment of systems to ensure scalability and reliability are taken into account to accommodate for growth. Install and bring online all communication hardware/software equipment at satellites. Configure the network to interface with the other networks. Monitors internet activity and takes necessary steps to protect and secure our data. Responsible for any of the following disciplines: Unix, Windows storage, enterprise backups, active directory, exchange, enterprise anti-virus protection and any other software in support of the infrastructure. Responsible for providing appropriate documentation of the firewall. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Three or more years of experience. Can be substituted for a degree in computer science. Minimum of two year of experience providing network infrastructure support. Virtualization of servers and the desktop and Storage Area Networks. Courses required in Microcomputer hardware repair. Associates degree in Computer Science preferred

Over 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting Cisco infrastructure solutions in enterprise healthcare and corporate environments. Extensive knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technologies, including Catalyst and Nexus platforms, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and high-availability network architectures. Proven experience managing Cisco wireless environments utilizing Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), access points, guest access, and wireless security best practices. Skilled in deploying and supporting Cisco security solutions, including Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control, authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex network issues, maintain secure and resilient infrastructure, lead technology upgrades, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and highly available network services
