Job summary

The Rolling Meadows Library is seeking a Circulation Associate to support daily circulation operations and help create a welcoming environment for patrons. The role also acts as the Library’s Volunteer Coordinator, connecting volunteers with meaningful opportunities throughout the Library.

Responsibilities include delivering excellent customer service, supporting circulation operations, coordinating volunteers, and collaborating across departments on special projects and events.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and/or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience coordinating volunteers, interns, or student workers is preferred.

Are you a people-focused, team player who enjoys helping others? Rolling Meadows Library is looking for a Circulation Associate to support daily Circulation operations and help create a friendly and welcoming environment for our patrons. The Circulation Associate also serves as the Library’s Volunteer Coordinator, connecting volunteers with meaningful opportunities throughout the Library.

What You'll Do:

• Deliver Excellent Customer Service – Assist patrons with checkouts, renewals, library cards, account questions, materials, and other circulation services.


• Support Circulation Operations – Help maintain an organized collection, process
  materials, manage the Library of Things, and assist with Home Delivery, Book Club Reserves,
  and missing-material recovery.


• Coordinate Volunteers – Serve as the primary contact for volunteers, conduct interviews and
  orientations, coordinate placements, and maintain records.


• Be a Library Connector – Work with departments throughout the Library, support special projects, assist with the Friends of the Library, and help ensure smooth, consistent
  library services.

Qualifications:

Associate Degree and/or equivalent education and experience. Experience coordinating volunteers, interns, or student workers is preferred.

Full-Time | 37.5 Hours/Week
-Daytime hours
-One evening per week
-Every other Saturday
-Sundays in rotation (paid at time and a half)
