Job summary

Starbucks is seeking a senior manager, Circularity, to lead packaging recovery and waste strategy in a complex policy landscape. You will guide external partnerships, industry coalitions, and internal teams to advance recovery systems and reduce waste at scale.

You will translate evolving policy, market dynamics, and sustainability priorities into actionable plans, managing risk and ensuring compliance readiness while driving long-term circularity outcomes for the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in circularity strategy, sustainability, or environmental policy.
• Demonstrated leadership across cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience developing circularity strategies and integrating compliance risk.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy for packaging recovery systems and external industry engagement.
• Develop and lead the waste strategy and operations teams.
• Represent Starbucks in coalitions, PROs, forums and partnerships.
• Inform packaging transformation with external developments.
• Advise senior teams on trends and regulatory developments.
