Job summary

3stepIT is seeking a hands-on Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of our digital software solutions. The hybrid role can be based in Warren, NJ or Dallas, TX, with in-office collaboration to support stakeholders and teams.

You will guide APIs, data flows, and integrations, balancing security, scalability, and maintainability while contributing to delivery. Requires strong frontend/backend skills (Vue.js, JavaScript, Spring Boot, Java) and a track record of delivering full-stack

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or a related role.
• Proven experience delivering full-stack software solutions (web apps, APIs, data flows, databases).
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to define requirements, scope, and measurable success.
• Strong design and architecture skills, with hands-on development ability.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Focus on security, scalability, maintainability, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to define scope, requirements, success criteria, and delivery expectations.
• Evaluate solution options, provide high-level feasibility assessments and estimates.
• Design detailed software architecture across front-end, back-end, APIs, integrations, data flows, and databases.
• Translate business needs into practical technical designs and delivery plans.
• Contribute to development, configuration, and integration when needed.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
