Job summary

Lenovo in Morrisville, North Carolina, is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure the quality and compliance of Lenovo Certified Refurbished (LCR) products. The role blends hands-on product evaluation, lab operations and partner collaboration to support Lenovo's circular economy initiatives.

You will perform performance testing, manage shipments to partners, and conduct audits while coordinating lab activities and ensuring ESD and safety compliance.

• Manage international shipment of materials to LCR partners.
• Inspection of samples for cosmetic defects.
• Perform quality audits of existing and potential partners.
• Lab management activities including shipping/receiving, asset management, lab safety, ordering of supplies, calibration coordination, ESD compliance.

Description and Requirements

Join Lenovo's Quality Engineering team and play a key role in ensuring the quality and compliance of Lenovo Certified Refurbished (LCR) products. This position combines hands‑on product evaluation, quality auditing, lab operations, and partner collaboration to help deliver high-quality refurbished devices while supporting Lenovo's growing Circular Economy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report generation for LCR partners that communicate Lenovo review findings
• Performance testing - (laptops/desktops/AIO/visuals/Motorola)
• Manage international shipment of materials to LCR partners
• Inspection of samples for cosmetic defects
• Perform quality audits of existing and potential partners

Lab Management

• Shipping/receiving coordinator for all imports/exports, both domestic and international
• Asset management including e-waste coordination for aged equipment and PCs
• Lab/facilities management
• Lab safety and environmental policy adherence
• Ordering of lab supplies and equipment
• Calibration coordination for lab equipment (multimeters, scopes, calipers, gages etc.)
• ESD compliance management (including ESD testing of lab benches / equipment)

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with PC hardware and Windows OS
• Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic abilities

Basic Requirements:

• 2+ years of lab, technical/IT, quality assurance/inspection, and/or administrative/organizational experience
