Job summary

Lenovo US MFG in Whitsett, NC is seeking a highly experienced Server Manufacturing Engineer to lead and optimize server production operations. This role ensures high-quality output, process efficiency, and alignment with Lenovo’s global manufacturing standards.

You will collaborate with design, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams, develop new processes and tooling, and drive continuous improvement on the manufacturing floor in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in server manufacturing or technical production.
• Proven leadership in cross-functional and cross-geo projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with design, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth product introductions.
• Design, validate, and implement new manufacturing processes, tooling, and test fixtures.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers (CMs) and suppliers to develop and optimize custom parts and production processes.
• Prepare documentation such as bills of materials (BOMs), control plans, and work instructions, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews, evaluate risks, and implement mitigation strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement activities, analyze production performance metrics, and provide technical support to the manufacturing floor.

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically skilledServer Manufacturing Engineerto lead and optimize server production operations. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality output, process efficiency, and alignment with Lenovo’s global manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with design, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth product introductions.
• Manufacturing Process Development:

• Engineering Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
• Analytical Skills:Ability to analyze production data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Problem-Solving:Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Communication Skills:Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
• Project Management:Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and work within budget constraints.
• Software Proficiency:Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, Manufacturing Systems software, data analysis tools, and other relevant software.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in server manufacturing or technical production.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven leadership in cross-functional and cross-geo projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with Linux systems, server hardware, and enterprise fulfillment operations.
