Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Chelmsford, MA, is seeking a Circuit Card Engineer to own end-to-end design, prototyping, and qualification of circuit cards. You will translate system needs into manufacturable silicon and collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to deliver robust hardware solutions.

You will design schematics, perform device evaluation, and develop test methods while maintaining documentation and configuration control. A Secret clearance is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or closely related field.
• Strong understanding of analog and power-supply circuit design principles.
• Experience with analog circuit simulations using Spice, LTSpice, LTPowerCAD, PSpice.
• Design development using schematic capture tools such as Xpedition, Altium, or OrCAD.
• Ability to test analog and power-supply designs in lab with bench supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes and electronic loads.
• Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Circuit Card Engineer you will own the end‑to‑end design, prototyping, and qualification of circuit cards, translating system needs into manufacturable silicon while collaborating with cross‑functional groups and customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing circuit schematics, layout, and photomasks for device production.
• Evaluating and characterizing new devices through test‑box development and prototype checkout.
• Determining appropriate wafer‑fabrication processes and issuing fabrication specifications.
• Developing test methods, writing specifications, and analyzing equipment to establish operating data.
• Conducting experimental testing, gathering data, and documenting results.
• Approving finished devices and generating customer application notes and data sheets.
• Maintaining configuration control and updating design documentation in PLM tools.
• Collaborating with equipment engineers, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical issues.
• Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and promoting an inclusive, knowledge‑sharing environment.

Basic Qualifications

BS Degree, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or closely related technical field. Good understanding of analog and power supply circuit design principles and simulation techniques. Experience with analog circuit simulations using tools such as Spice, LTSpice, LTPowerCAD, PSpice. Design development using schematic capture tools such as Xpedition, Altium, or OrCAD. Test analog and power supply designs in the lab using test equipment such as bench supplies, DMM's, oscilloscopes and electronic loads. Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Desired Skills

MS Degree, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or closely related technical field. Understanding the trade‑offs between switching regulators and LDO (linear) power supplies. Develop a power‑distribution diagram and perform continuous power‑analysis across the entire system. Experience conducting analog and power‑supply simulations, including MonteCarlo analyses for component tolerances and yield assessment. Knowledge of board layout best practices for low noise analog RF circuits and power supplies.

Pay Information

Full‑Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people. Benefits offered

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
