Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a Circuit Card Design Engineer to own end-to-end CCA development—from architecture and schematic capture to EPCAD layout, prototype build and test.

You will collaborate with systems, electromechanical, firmware/software and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet performance, environmental and security requirements while delivering cost effective parts and robust design assurance.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or closely related STEM field; M.S. preferred
  • Experience with circuit card design, integration, and test (digital, power, analog/mixed-signal, or FPGA boards)
  • Experience with Siemens Xpedition Enterprise for schematic capture
  • Experience with Cadence PSpice or equivalent for circuit simulation
  • Experience with signal integrity tools such as Mentor Graphics Hyperlynx
  • Experience with defining system, performance, interface, and environmental requirements for circuit card designs

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture, schematic capture and EPCAD layout for CCAs supporting missile and sensor subsystems
  • Define, refine and document system, performance, interface and environmental requirements
  • Conduct trade study analyses of alternate design approaches and recommend optimal implementations
  • Perform circuit simulation and analysis using Cadence PSpice (or equivalent) to validate functionality and margins
  • Capture schematics in Siemens Xpedition Enterprise and collaborate with EPCAD to produce robust layout and signal routing solutions
  • Deliver complete design assurance packages—including data, evidence and compliance reports for senior review
  • Work closely with systems, electromechanical, firmware/software and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and testing
  • Manage bill of materials, part sourcing and prototype build up activities, driving cost effective parts selection
  • Verify that designs meet shock, vibration, radiation and other environmental qualification standards

What You Will Be Doing

As the Circuit Card Design Engineer you will own the end-to-end creation of CCAs—from architecture and schematic capture through EPCAD layout, prototype build up and test. You will partner with systems, electromechanical, firmware/software and manufacturing groups to ensure every design meets performance, environmental and security requirements while keeping the program on schedule. Your responsibilities will include

  • Lead architecture, schematic capture and EPCAD layout for CCAs supporting missile and sensor subsystems.
  • Define, refine and document system, performance, interface and environmental requirements.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university; Master’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with circuit card design, integration, and test for one or more of the following: digital electronics, power electronics, analog/mixed-signal, or FPGA-based processor boards
  • Experience with Siemens Xpedition Enterprise or equivalent for schematic capture
  • Experience with Cadence PSpice or equivalent for circuit simulation and analysis
  • Experience with signal integrity tools such as Mentor Graphics Hyperlynx or equivalent
  • Experience with developing and refining system, performance, interface, and environmental requirements for circuit card designs
Desired Skills
  • Experience with MFC circuit card design processes and the Design Assurance process
  • Experience with military standards and specifications, including MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-704
  • Experience with Xilinx/AMD FPGA families (UltraScale, Versal)
  • High-speed design experience including PCIe, Gigabit Ethernet, SERDES, or DDR4/5 memory interfaces
  • MATLAB experience for analysis and simulation
  • Experience with MOSA (Modular Open Systems Architecture) and WOSA (Weapon Open Systems Architecture)
  • Experience with CAMEO or equivalent requirements management tools
  • Experience with rigidflex circuit card design
  • Experience with environmental qualification testing (vibration, shock, thermal, radiation)
  • Experience with missile systems
  • Previous LM / MFC experience
  • Active Top Secret clearance
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00
