Job summary

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Orlando, FL, seeks a Circuit Card Design Engineer to drive architecture, schematic capture, and layout for high‑reliability CCAs powering missiles and sensors. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust hardware on schedule.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, strong experience with circuit card design and environmental requirements, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related STEM field from an accredited university.
  • Demonstrated experience with circuit card design, integration, and test for digital electronics, power electronics, analog/mixed-signal, or FPGA-based boards.
  • Experience with Siemens Xpedition Enterprise or equivalent for schematic capture.
  • Experience with Cadence PSpice or equivalent for circuit simulation and analysis.
  • Experience with signal integrity tools such as Mentor Graphics HyperLynx or equivalent.
  • Experience developing and refining system, performance, interface, and environmental requirements for circuit card designs.
  • Must be a US Citizen; must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture, schematic capture and EPCAD layout for CCAs supporting missile and sensor subsystems.
  • Define, refine and document system, performance, interface and environmental requirements.
  • Conduct trade study analyses of alternate design approaches and recommend optimal implementations.
  • Perform circuit simulation and analysis using CadencePSpice (or equivalent) to validate functionality and margins.
  • Capture schematics in SiemensXpedition Enterprise and collaborate with EPCAD to produce robust layout and signal routing solutions.
  • Deliver complete design assurance packages—including data, evidence and compliance reports for senior review.
  • Work closely with systems, electromechanical, firmware/software and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and testing.
  • Manage bill of materials, part sourcing and prototype build up activities, driving cost effective parts selection.
  • Verify that designs meet shock, vibration, radiation and other environmental qualification standards.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Circuit Design Engineer you will ensure technical excellence across your assigned tasks, drive those tasks to successful completion, and keep stakeholders fully informed of progress and issues. You’ll work closely with production, program, and cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, on‑schedule hardware.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university;

Desired Skills
  • Experience with MFC circuit card design processes and the Design Assurance process
  • Experience with military standards and specifications, including MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-704
  • Experience with Xilinx/AMD FPGA families (UltraScale, Versal)
  • High-speed design experience including PCIe, Gigabit Ethernet, SERDES, or DDR4/5 memory interfaces
  • MATLAB experience for analysis and simulation
  • Experience with MOSA (Modular Open Systems Architecture) and WOSA (Weapon Open Systems Architecture)
  • Experience with CAMEO or equivalent requirements management tools
  • Experience with rigidflex circuit card design
  • Experience with environmental qualification testing (vibration, shock, thermal, radiation)
  • Active Top Secret clearance
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00
