Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC in Town of Florida, NY is seeking a coating technician to mask and tape circuit boards, verify coating coverage, and maintain coating and dispensing equipment for reliable operation.

You will also touch-up areas the machine may miss, transport racks between production steps, replenish chemicals, and prepare potting/bonding compounds while keeping a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Mask and tape circuit boards in areas free of conformal coating or potting.
• Inspect assemblies to ensure proper coating coverage.
• Maintain the coating and dispensing machines to ensure proper operating condition.
• Remove excess coating and perform touch-up so boards maintain high quality.
• Transport racks of circuit boards between destinations for production.
• Maintain machines including changing fluids, mixers and cleaning.
• Perform general housekeeping to provide a safe, clean working environment.
• Knowledge of various materials used.
• Complete applicable Specific Function Training courses.
• Additional tasks may be assigned by the supervisor to accommodate production needs.
• Encapsulation of discrete assemblies.
• Replenish chemicals, solvents, compounds, and process fluids.
• Prepare and apply potting, bonding and coating compounds, lubricants, spray coats or insulated tape.
• Advance or retrieve product, material, and tools in house and from local suppliers.
