General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Circuit Activation Engineer to design, deploy, and support secure, high-performance network solutions at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

This onsite role requires TS/SCI clearance and a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, along with DoDD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification. You will join the MAC team to provision devices, configure plans for data networks, activate connections for JSP ETM-NG, and support VIP emergencies.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent.
• Certification(s): DoDD 8570/8140 IAT Level II.
• Experience: 5+ years incl. 1-3 years of directly related network engineering/administration.
• Location: Onsite in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

• Provisioning and configuring network devices (switches, routers) as part of the MAC team.
• Create plans and configure systems for data communication networks.
• Activate and provide network connectivity to JSP customer base.
• Support MAC Layer 1 & 2 activations.
• Use EMS tools to determine port and capacity availability.
• Maintain network integrity and ensure policy compliance and backups.
• Provide network support and troubleshooting for MAC team.
• Analyze customer requirements and provide technical solutions for complex problems.
• May work odd hours to support priority activations for VIPs and emergencies.

We’re seeking a Circuit Activation Engineer to design, deploy, and support secure, high-performance network solutions that keep our mission moving. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, improving infrastructure capabilities, and working with advanced networking technologies, this role is for you. GDIT is seeking a Circuit Activation Engineer to help support our Joint Service Provider Enterprise Transport Management - Next-Gen (JSP ETM - NG) program at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. Due to the nature of work this role entails, telecommuting is not allowed and will require the employee to report full-time onsite.

This position will support the following schedule:

• Day Shift (Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 4:00pm)

How the Circuit Activation Engineer will make an impact:

• Responsible for provisioning & configuring network devices (switches, routers) as part of the MAC (Move, Add, Change) team
• Create plans and configure systems for data communication networks
• Work with Cable Engineers & Tier I/II Service Desk Technicians to activate & provide network connectivity to the JSP customer base
• Support MAC (Move, Add, Change) Layer 1 & 2 activations
• Use Element Management tools to determine port & network resource availability to meet capacity requirements
• Maintain network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability
• Provide network support and troubleshooting for the MAC team
• Analyze customer requirements and provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
• May be required to work odd hours to support priority service activations for VIP’s & Emergency Response Activities
• Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED – REQUIRED:

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
• Certification(s): DoDD 8570/8140 IAT Level II
• Year's Experience: 5+ years to include 1-3 years of directly related experience in network engineering and/or administration
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Network Engineering data and voice communications networks
• Location: Onsite in Arlington, VA
