Job summary

The Brand Amp is seeking an experienced Cinematographer / Editor to join our content production team. This hands-on role involves shooting and editing brand stories for integrated campaigns, social media, and events.

You will collaborate with Producers, Creative Directors, and clients to evolve concepts from pre-production to final delivery. Based near Orange County, CA, this hybrid role requires strong technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects

Qualifications

  • 3 to 10 years of professional production experience.
  • Based near Orange County (CA) with a hybrid schedule.
  • Experience in action sports is a plus.
  • Strong visual storytelling, composition, lighting, and audio capture.
  • Operate cinema cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, drones (Part 107 a plus).
  • Edit long-form and short-form video content for various platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; knowledge of Photoshop, Lightroom, DaVinci Resolve.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Project Leads and Creative teams to execute concepts from pre-production through final delivery.
  • Develop shot lists and production plans aligned with creative objectives.
  • Lead cinematography during studio and on-location productions.
  • Capture high-quality video and photography for campaigns and branded content.
  • Edit projects from rough cut through final delivery with graphics, color grading, and sound mixing.
  • Maintain technical excellence and creative consistency across deliverables.
  • Prepare final assets for digital, social, broadcast, and client delivery.
  • Maintain production equipment and organize media; support efficient workflows.
  • Contribute creative ideas during development and post-production reviews.

We serve clients across a multitude of industries, including DIRECTV, Polaris, Traeger, MasterCraft, Archer Aviation, Mitsubishi Motors, SUPER73, and many others.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The Brand Amp is seeking an experienced Cinematographer / Editor to join our growing content production team. This is a hands-on creative role for someone who is equally comfortable behind the camera and in the edit suite. You'll help bring brand stories to life through compelling video and photo content that supports integrated marketing campaigns, social media initiatives, branded entertainment, product launches, and commercial productions.

Working closely with Producers, Creative Directors, Project Leads, and clients, you'll help shape concepts from pre-production through final delivery. From developing shot lists and capturing cinematic footage to editing polished final assets complete with motion graphics, color correction, sound design, and platform-specific deliverables, you'll play a key role in creating content that drives results.

This position requires a creative thinker with strong technical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced agency environment. Candidates should have 3 to 10 years of professional production experience and be based near Orange County (CA), with the ability to work a hybrid schedule. Some travel is required.

WHAT SKILLS ARE NEEDED?

  • 3 to 10 years of professional cinematography and video editing experience (experience in action sports is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, lighting, camera movement, and audio capture
  • Ability to collaborate with Project Leads and Creative teams to execute creative vision
  • Experience developing shot lists and production plans prior to shoots
  • Operate cinema cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, drones (Part 107 certification is a plus), and supporting production equipment
  • Edit high-quality long-form and short-form video content for social media, digital campaigns, commercials, events, and branded storytelling
  • Produce polished edits including color correction, sound mixing, motion graphics, supers, simple animations, and final exports
  • Ability to utilize strong time management skills to organize project assets, maintain editing workflows, and manage file structures while balancing multiple deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently on productions while collaborating closely with producers, creatives, clients, and external vendors
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with working knowledge of Photoshop, Lightroom, and DaVinci Resolve
  • Willingness to continue learning new production techniques, creative trends, AI-assisted workflows, and emerging technologies
  • Ability to utilize AI-based LLMs such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity to improve production efficiency and creative workflows
  • Willingness to travel as production schedules require (occasional weekend work required)
