Job summary

Blizzard Entertainment is assembling a Cinematic Director to lead the StarCraft project in Irvine, CA. You will guide cinematic development, own the cinematics team, and collaborate with design, narration, animation, and audio to deliver story-driven, open-world shooter moments.

You will manage a team, define workflows, balance creative ambition with production realities, and mentor staff to grow through hands-on direction in engine and tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in cinematics, game development, animation, film, television, or other narrative media.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creative development and execution of cinematic work for a new StarCraft game.
• Guide cinematic work from concepting through animatics, iteration, and final delivery.
• Author, block, and iterate cinematic sequences within a real-time engine (e.g., Unreal Sequencer).
• Set priorities, align creative direction, and drive delivery of cinematic storytelling.
