Job summary

Community College of Aurora is seeking a Cinematic Arts Lab Tech on a Work-Study basis at the Denver/Lowry campus. You will serve as the first point of contact for the Cage, provide equipment training, and manage check-outs and returns while supporting daily operations.

The role emphasizes proactive problem-solving, equipment inspection, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace. You will assist with events and communications, contributing to student success and department efficiency.

Qualifications

• Attend the Community College of Aurora Department of Cinematic Arts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Be able to move and lift heavy equipment (up to 50lbs).
• Be able to work in a loud environment.
• Work-study eligibility required for this position.
• Must be enrolled in FAFSA and a minimum of six credits.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
• Conduct equipment inventory and routine maintenance.
• Prepare orders and manage check-outs/returns.
• Maintain organization of the Equipment Room and spaces.
• Learn cinema technology and share knowledge with peers.
• Train students, faculty, and staff on equipment and High-Value rooms.
• Organize prop/set inventory and storage areas.
• Assist with Lowry Studios events and department communications.
