JOB TITLE
Cinema Service Engineer | MAF Entertainment | Cinemas

ROLE SUMMARY
The Cinema Service Engineer is responsible for upgrading, repair, maintenance and support of digital projection systems, sound systems as well as events/ presentation equipment. Assist the Cinema Technical Manager with solutions for deploying the digital cinema system in new cinemas across all the Majid Al Futtaim VOX Cinemas territories.

ROLE PROFILE

• Monitor the in-field performance of deployed cinemas and maximizing operating performance by managing timely repairs and maintenance.
• Effectively undertake technical fault-finding duties associated with any Call-Out job or Remote Assistance work as assigned.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Cinema teams, by offering technical solutions, whilst ensuring minimum disruption to business.
• Provide technical coaching for the projectionist relating to the operation of digital equipment.
• Mentor stakeholders to adapt with agility to new technical systems.
• Use experience and judgement to assist the Field Service Team on all technical issues.
• Repair, and update products and software.
• Perform emergency service at any locations as needed to ensure the full functionality of Digital Cinema projectors and Sound systems.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma or Technical certification in Electrical or IT field, or technical experience in related fields.
• At least 4 years’ experience in servicing digital cinema systems preferably in Barco, Christie, GDC, Doremi, Dolby and Digital Audio systems.
• Knowledge of field service and equipment repair.
• Open to extensive travel across all Majid Al Futtaim Territories.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic preferred.
• Good understanding of all cinema systems including projection, audio, automation and control equipment.
