An established industry player is seeking dedicated individuals to join their warehouse team in Memphis. This role involves crucial responsibilities such as receiving, shipping, and inventory management of products in a fast-paced environment. Performs various duties in a warehouse management system to receive and ship products and process customer returns. Responsible for routine and some non-routine warehouse tasks including receiving, shipping, and inventory management of materials. Tasks are performed in a warehouse or production support environment. Ensures safe and legal handling of regulated materials for all inbound and outbound shipments, including proper separation, palletizing, loading, and storage. Identifies damages, reports shortages or quality deficiencies, and maintains records of shipped merchandise. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares materials for final shipment. May manually lift heavy items or do so with assistance. Most tasks are well-defined and require judgment or interpretation. Other duties may be assigned, including lower-grade tasks, which should not exceed the current job grade.
Minimum Education
High School Diploma/GED.
Minimum Experience
Proven experience as a forklift operator.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages over 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment or assistance. Good communication and human relations skills. Ability to complete all required training. Effective communication in noisy environments. Attention to detail. Ability to read and understand work instructions and execute accordingly.
Job Conditions
This is a non-safety-sensitive position. Must work in a constant state of alertness and safety consciousness.
