Bechtel Corporation is designing, building, and commissioning a semiconductor fab in Clay, NY. Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology unit leads in delivering large-scale industrial projects across multiple sectors.

The role supports field engineering for CIF scopes, coordinating with superintendents, subcontractors, and other disciplines to ensure safe, compliant, and on-schedule execution. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years (or more) of relevant experience in coatings,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of coatings, surface preparation, insulation systems, fireproofing systems and related safety applications.
• Understanding CIF standards, installation requirements, inspection points and quality requirements.
• Ability to coordinate with engineering, construction, quality, subcontractors, survey and other disciplines to resolve NCRs.
• Experience in planning, coordination, and execution support of construction activities.
• Familiarity with Bechtel Standard Applications Programs (BSAP) for progress tracking and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supports development of Installation Work Packages (IWPs) and short interval planning for CIF scopes.
• Prepares and reviews construction drawings, sketches, field instructions, specifications, and installation details for CIF work.
• Coordinates with superintendents to ensure workface planning readiness, sequencing, access, permits, materials, and execution alignment.
• Verifies installed quantities and supports progress tracking for CIF materials and related components.
• Ensures CIF materials, coating systems, insulation materials, jacketing and vapor barriers are available and aligned with needs.
• Interfaces with Superintendents, Craft Professionals, and subcontractors to coordinate technical requirements and resolve field issues.
• Supports inspection and test planning, quality verification, NCR resolution, punch closure, and turnover documentation.
• Promotes and supports Zero Accident Philosophy and safe execution of all CIF activities.
