Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a CIF Superintendent for the Clay, NY project to lead coating, insulation, and fireproofing activities. You will direct craft professionals and subcontractors, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality work in line with project requirements.

You will drive planning, coordinate with field engineers, manage materials, and support turnover documentation while adhering to ES&H standards and Bechtel procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience or 9–12 years of relevant work experience lieu of degree.
• Experience managing CIF direct hire Craft Professionals, subcontractor’s execution, construction work packages, and progress reporting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, isometrics, IWPs, subcontract documents, vendor information, and project procedures.
• Skills to quickly learn and apply Bechtel SWPPs/BSAPs.
• Ability to drive ES&H requirements and the Zero Accidents safety program in daily activities.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, problem-solving, and field decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads coating, insulation, and fireproofing construction activities within assigned areas of responsibility.
• Directs field supervision, craft professionals, and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient CIF work.
• Drives look-ahead planning, workface planning, IWP/CWP readiness, and short interval planning.
• Coordinates CIF activities with superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain progress.
• Supports inspections, NCR resolution, punch-list, and turnover documentation.
• Ensures material readiness and installation tooling/ PPE availability.
