Job summary

Grand Forks Public Schools seeks a part-time bus driver for the Career Impact Academy route in Grand Forks, ND. The position runs nine months during the academic year, with split hours from 9:30am to 12:30pm, Monday through Friday when school is in session.

You will transport students, enforce safety rules, and respond to emergencies with training in First Aid and CPR/Choking. Must have a valid driver’s license, be 18+, maintain a clean driving record, and be willing to develop positive

• Willingness to be trained in First Aid and CPR/Choking.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk and stand. Lift sixty (60) lbs. occasionally, with the ability to reach, stand, walk, carry, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit, and/or crawl. The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely. Maintain mental capacity, allowing for effective interaction and communication with others. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.

Terms of Employment:

Nine (9) months, academic school year

Split Hours:

9:30am – 12:30pm, Monday through Friday, when school is in session

Evaluation:

Job performance will be evaluated by the Supervisor.
