Job summary

Kids for the Future in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a driver to transport students to and from Red River HS under the Career Impact Academy program. This 9-month position features a split shift from 9:30am to 12:30pm, Monday through Friday when school is in session, with a base pay of $18.05 to $22.35 per hour.

Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required, along with a positive, safety‑minded approach when working with children, parents and staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Check the vehicle each day for safety and maintenance.
• Transport students attending the Career Impact Academy to/from Red River HS.
• Insure that the students are safely seated before departing.
• Enforce vehicle policies and rules with student.
• Willingness to be trained in First Aid and CPR/Choking.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk and stand. Lift sixty (60) lbs. occasionally, with the ability to reach, stand, walk, carry, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit, and/or crawl. The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely. Maintain mental capacity, allowing for effective interaction and communication with others. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.

Terms of Employment:

Nine (9) months, academic school year

Split Hours:

9:30am – 12:30pm, Monday through Friday, when school is in session

Evaluation:

Job performance will be evaluated by the Supervisor.
