Job summary

Northwestern Medicine offers a one-year Community Health Worker Apprenticeship. Participants will gain on-the-job training while pursuing a CHW certificate, with guidance from mentors and access to a broad benefits program.

Apprentices will support hospital operations, complete assigned projects, and develop professional relationships across departments in a structured program designed for career growth within the Northwestern Medicine system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Product suite (Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint).
• Current enrollment in Community Health Worker certificate program or recently completed within last 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine.
• Complete projects and tasks assigned during apprenticeship.
• Developing knowledge of hospital operations to support various departments.
• Build working relationships with staff and management across the organization.
• Participate in activities designed for apprentice development.
