Job summary

Bethany Christian Services seeks a Safe Families for Children Coordinator to recruit, train, and support volunteers and church partners across local communities. You will identify church leaders, coach ministry teams, and help volunteers become effective advocates for families in need.

This role requires strong communication, nonprofit experience, and the ability to work some evenings and weekends. You will partner with churches and community agencies to grow the Safe Families for Children

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Master’s degree preferred
• Experience working with at‑risk children and families
• Experience coordinating volunteers and working with faith communities

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage churches at various levels.
• Recruit, train church leads and coach ministry teams.
• Coach ministry leads to recruit and empower volunteers.
• Oversee growth of Circle of Support and volunteer networks.
• Facilitate recruitment of volunteers and training.
• Provide written reports to management and stakeholders.
• Ensure safety oversight and program implementation.
• Develop community relations and publicity.
