Job summary

Northwest Bible Church in Dallas, TX is seeking an Events Team Lead to coordinate and oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of church events, while guiding the Events Team to ensure facilities are prepared safely and efficiently. The role supports ministry activities by delivering excellent service and maintaining readiness for staff, volunteers, and guests.

The supervisor is the Events and Facilities Manager.

Qualifications

• Must align with church doctrinal statements and beliefs.
• Grow personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• High school diploma or equivalent; related experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable reading/writing English; able to work flexible hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise on-site Events Team during setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure exceptional service and operational efficiency.
• Serve as primary contact for resolving room setup and event-related issues, escalating concerns when necessary.
• Assign daily tasks, coordinate team workflows, and prioritize responsibilities to ensure seamless event operations.
• Ensure all event spaces are prepared according to event specifications, including room layouts, signage placement, furniture arrangements, and equipment setup.
• Monitor team performance and provide guidance, coaching, and support to address challenges and maintain service standards.
• Train and onboard new team members on event procedures, safety protocols, customer service expectations, and organizational policies.
• Execute room and event setups based on instructions from the Events Manager, ministry teams, and event management software. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, arranging tables and chairs, performing basic audiovisual setup, securing and opening facilities for scheduled events, and managing lighting in event and building spaces.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of event equipment, supplies, and related assets, ensuring proper storage and availability.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to event hosts, guests, staff, and ministry partners while supporting the smooth operation of the campus.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, and security issues promptly to the Rooms Setup Manager or appropriate department.
• Assist with custodial and facility support tasks as needed to ensure event spaces remain safe, clean, and presentable.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
