Job summary

The Austin Stone Community Church is seeking a Childcare Coordinator to safely organize childcare for church events and moments of worship. You will lead the childcare team, manage scheduling, reserve spaces, and ensure compliance with safety standards while coordinating with staff and volunteers.

You will recruit and screen contract workers, oversee budgets, and ensure timely payments. This role supports parents by providing reliable care, enabling participation in ministry and worship.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating childcare for events or programs.
• Ability to engage and supervise volunteers/contract workers.
• Knowledge of safety policies for children and staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve and lead with the congregation staff team at events, meetings and activities.
• Communicate with the KIDS Ministry Director about childcare events and team needs.
• Maintain a calendar of all upcoming childcare events and schedule childcare contract workers.
• Ensure the space for childcare is reserved and prepared.
• Recruit and screen childcare contract workers.
• Ensure all workers follow safety standards.
• Manage payments for contract workers in a timely manner.
• Arrange for food within budget when needed for children and workers.
• Keep childcare spaces clean and restore after events.
• Communicate needs to the KIDS Ministry team and plan sign-ups.
