Catholic Diocese of Dallas is seeking a Childcare Coordinator to oversee safe, nurturing childcare during church events, ensuring age-appropriate activities in a Christ-centered environment.
You will recruit and train workers, manage schedules and payroll via ExponentHR, enforce safety policies, and communicate with parents and church leadership to support families.
The Childcare Coordinator is responsible for facilitating safe, nurturing, and well-organized childcare services during church events and programs. This role ensures children are cared for in a loving, age-appropriate, safe, and Christ-centered environment while supporting families and church staff.

Education and/or Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in a church, school, or childcare setting. Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices acquired through education and or experience. Previous supervisory or coordination experience is preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, volunteers, and parish staff.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain; Successful completion of background check and Safe Environment training as required by the Diocese of Dallas
Reasoning Ability: Strong organizational and leadership skills. Ability to solve problems, make sound decisions, and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
Other Requirements: Be a practicing Christian; living a lifestyle in accordance with the moral teachings of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and engage in active play with children.
Working Conditions: The employee will work primarily indoors and on Friday mornings. There will be interaction with children of various ages, mostly toddlers and infants. The employee will also interact with parents and other childcare staff.
