Job summary

CDW in Elk Grove, IL is seeking a Computer Repair Technician (1st shift: 7am-3:30pm CST) to diagnose and repair Chromebook hardware and software issues. You will use hand tools, perform repairs, and ensure QC standards.

You will review work orders, test devices, and support training across K-12 teams while meeting production goals in a warehouse environment. Prior IT or computer tech experience is expected, with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues on Chromebooks.
• Review work orders and assess user-reported computer issues to identify problems.
• Test devices to determine appropriate repairs and ensure QC standards.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Accurately review customer work orders and assess user-reported computer issues.
• Test and evaluate customer device needs to determine repairs.
• Perform electronic device repairs, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot hardware or software issues following proper procedures.
• Set up, repair, or replace computer hardware and associated devices.
• Follow QC standards and ensure devices meet customer requests.
• Support training across K-12 teams and stay current with OEM requirements.
• Meet production goals while upholding QC standards.
