Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio Careers is seeking a full-time Instructional Assistant to support teachers in educating students within a faith-centered environment. Responsibilities include assisting in lesson planning, providing instructional support, and ensuring a safe classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and experience working with children, along with the necessary credentials to meet Archdiocesan standards.

Qualifications

• Must pass Archdiocesan Safe Environment Requirements and background screening.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work as an effective team member.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in planning and guiding students.
• Support and uphold the mission of the Catholic school.
• Provide instructional assistance as needed.

Skills

Knowledge of school procedures and policies

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to operate technology and equipment

Detail oriented and organized

Education

High school diploma or equivalent GED

Two years of study at an institution of higher education

Associate’s degree or higher
