You will oversee hiring, onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and staff development while partnering with leadership to scale HR systems as the church grows. This is a full-time role requiring integrity and cross-ministry collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in human resources management or a generalist HR role.
• Strong working knowledge of employment law, payroll practices, and HR operations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with payroll systems and common office software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a ministry environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle hiring for all staff positions, including postings, screening, interviews, and offers.
• Oversee onboarding for new hires, including orientation and 90-day support.
• Coordinate payroll processing with finance and external providers; maintain records.
• Administer benefits programs and support annual compensation reviews.
• Serve as primary HR contact for policies, leaves, and records management.
• Advise leadership on HR strategy, workforce planning, and staff development.
