Overview / SummaryThe Chop Shop Technician (Saw Operator) plays a critical role in the production process by precisely cutting metal components to specified lengths. Working on the manufacturing floor, you will read and interpret work orders, configure machine stops and guides, operate industrial saw equipment, and inspect output for defects — ensuring every cut meets quality standards.This is a hands-on role requiring basic math ability, skill with measurement tools, and strong attention to detail. This role cannot be performed remotely.Starting Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (4 days/week).Schedule Flexibility: Schedule may adjust based on production needs within standard plant operating hours.Tools & Systems UsedIndustrial saw equipment — primary production tool for cutting metal components to specification.Tape measure and precision measurement tools — for verifying cut lengths and machine configuration.NetSuite ERP — for work order lookup and production logging (training provided).Standard documentation tools — for paperwork completion and production recordkeeping.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience operating industrial cutting or manufacturing equipment.Familiarity with NetSuite ERP or similar manufacturing software.Experience in a metal fabrication, manufacturing, or production environment.Ability to interpret basic technical drawings or blueprints.
