Job summary

Russell Stover Chocolates, LLC is hiring a Production Lead for the 1st shift in Abilene, KS. You will oversee a team, ensure quality from start to finish, and utilize SAP for production records while maintaining a safe, compliant environment.

Responsibilities include directing personnel, training, equipment operation, and adherence to GMP/FSQA standards. Experience with SAP and MS Office is preferred; strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read and understand rules, tape measures, scales and thermometers.
• Ability to read and understand product specifications and recognize deviations.
• Ability to routinely stand, stoop, bend, climb and lift to meet cleaning requirements.
• Ability to perform basic math functions; strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Directing, monitoring, assisting and training employees assigned to a specific area, line or team per Supervisor's instructions.
• Communicating with and delegating tasks to team members.
• Operating machinery, equipment and tools in a safe and proficient manner according to standards, guidelines and instructions.
• Maintaining records, delivering, inspecting and performing all activities required of other members of the area, line or team.
• Performing clean-up activities as assigned.
• Adhering to GMP to ensure product quality and food safety compliance.
• Completing FSQA training and programs to meet regulatory requirements and support food safety/quality objectives.
• Promptly reporting potential food safety hazards or deviations to the plant supervisor.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of the company's Food Safety Culture.
