Barry Callebaut Manufacturing Iberica SA. in American Canyon, CA, is hiring a Sanitation Technician to maintain clean facilities and equipment in compliance with microbiology standards. You will demonstrate ownership of plant and food safety and regulatory requirements.

The role reports to the Sanitation Lead and involves operating in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safe food production and GMP practices, including shift-change communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School or vocational school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–4 years manufacturing experience in a food production environment.
• Excellent attendance and safety record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a high-noise environment.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs and vacuums floors of the building, using cleaning solutions, tools and equipment
• Clean walls, pipes, ladders, windows, plant equipment and building fixtures, using cleaning equipment, scrapers, brooms and variety of hand and power tools.
• Gathers and empties trash daily.
• Communicate all relevant information to relieving shift at shift-change including equipment issues, any tasks not completed, etc.
• Assist in other areas as needed.
• Committed to providing a safe food product.
• Works within all regulatory requirements.
• Ability to adhere to GMP practices and all other food safety and food defense requirements.
