Job summary

NSA's Language Analysts (MDLAs) work at the forefront of the SIGINT mission, analyzing foreign language materials, translating, and producing assessments that inform policymakers and operations.

MDLAs may be placed into the LADP or direct hire, with multiple operational tours and training. A minimum ILR 2/2 in reading/listening is required for the target language, with strong analytical and writing skills expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR level 2/2 reading and listening in the target language.
• Experience in translation, transcription, or analysis preferred.
• Degree in any field acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, translate, transcribe foreign language materials.
• Research cultures and geopolitical context related to NSA SIGINT.
• Develop analytic solutions from large data and disparate sources.
• Craft written and oral assessments for insights.
• Collaborate with analysts across NSA and IC.
