Avenues seeks a Head Teacher (Chinese Immersion) for Grades 1-5, Lower Division, full-time in New York. You will collaborate with English and Mandarin colleagues to design outcomes, monitor growth, and address individual student needs within a dual-language setting.

You will design an innovative curriculum, employ diverse instructional practices, and mentor an associate teacher to foster a student-centered classroom and a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of teaching experience in grades K-6.
• Full professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
• Experience with problem-based mathematics instruction.
• Graduate degree in education or related field.

• Collaborate daily with Chinese and English colleagues to design outcomes, monitor growth, and address individual student needs.
